After the implementation of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nepal, the Senior Citizens Act, 2063 BS, became active within the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens. Article 41 of the Constitution, as a fundamental right, provides that senior citizens are entitled to special protection and social security from the state. The Senior Citizens Act, 2063 BS (First Amendment 2079 BS) has been implemented before the public.
